East Kent Ploughing Match
East Kent Ploughing Match at Quex Park!
Here is a note for your diary!
The East Kent Ploughing Match will be held this year at ....drum roll please ….Quex Park on the 24th September!
The East Kent Ploughing Match Association's history can be traced back to the early 1800s. Agricultural workers got together to demonstrate their skills. The current organization EKPMA was established to encourage and celebrate these ploughing skills using tractors, vintage ploughs, and horses. The Ploughing Match not only allows farmers and agricultural workers to get together, but also gives them the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, share their knowledge and showcase great crops and produce. Other skills are also on display as one of the favourite areas is in the big marquee where baking, crafts, and needlework, to name but a few, are also on display.
