In late 2025, Quex Farms made the decision to reintroduce vegetables on the farm. Historically, the estate was once a major producer of vegetables, such as cauliflower, cabbage and potatoes, but following changes in the market, it was decided to concentrate on other crops such as wheat and oats.

Our vegetables are grown in a nature-friendly manner, without the use of pesticides, and utilising composted manures to help build soil fertility. Livestock graze our cover crops and legume leys, which add diversity to the land. Our market vegetables are grown with the consumer’s end market in mind, while meeting our own ethos.
